Questions

How safe is it?

It uses AES-256-GCM with a key made from your password by 600,000 rounds of PBKDF2, the same standards banks and password managers use. A long, unique password matters most.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. You can check by turning off your internet connection: it keeps working.
