Change video speed

Make a video 2× faster, or slow it to half speed, from 0.25× to 4×. Voices keep their pitch, so nobody sounds like a chipmunk. Done on your device, so the video is never uploaded.

Questions

Will voices sound like chipmunks?

No. The sound is sped up or slowed down without changing its pitch, so voices sound natural, just faster or slower.

Can I make smooth slow motion?

Slowing down doesn’t invent new frames. A video filmed at 30 frames a second, at half speed, shows 15 a second and looks a little jerky. Videos filmed in slow motion on a phone (120 or 240 fps) slow down smoothly.

Does it lose quality?

The video is encoded again in high-quality H.264 at its own size, so it looks the same.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, and the page is blocked from sending data anywhere. You can check by turning off your internet connection: it keeps working.
